Brother of Zeus, who was eaten by their father and later freed by Zeus, Poseidon was God of the Sea, Earthquakes, and Horses. Goddess Athena became the patron of Athens after a competition with Poseidon. He then rode his chariot pulled by the hippocampus to his coral palace on the ocean floor. Poseidon had many lovers and his most prominent offspring were Theseus and Triton, a merman. Poseidon was also known as the protector of the seafarers, and as such our apartment next to the port of Piraeus signifies our blessings to all those traveling to and from our beautiful islands.

A separate sunlit kitchen includes electrical appliances such as a Nespresso machine, juicer, blender, and filter coffee machine, while built-in appliances include a dishwasher, stove, and microwave.

All rooms have an AC unit that allows for cool summer evenings, while the large TV in the living room offers media entertainment so you don’t have to worry about missing your favorite show either! Neighborhood
Piraeus is the port city of the Attica region and offers its very own character along the Saronic Gulf. Located about 12km from the center of Athens, with easy access, Piraeus is also the port that connects the mainland with most of Greece’s beautiful islands. Known as the port city of Classical Athens, this urban landscape dates back to the early 5th century BC. Today, Piraeus is one of the largest passenger ports in Europe and thus is a bustling commercial center with flourishing business activity.
The city is divided into 3 areas | the main port, Zeas marina (know as Pasalimani), and Mikrolimano, the starting line of the Athens Riviera. The perfect way to get to know Piraeus is to stroll along Pasalimani (Zea Bay), grab a coffee enjoy the view of the Saronic Gulf, and visit the Maritime Museum which is less than 10 minutes from the apartment. Close to Pasalimani, you will find the majestic Municipal Theater of Piraeus and the picturesque Kastella neighborhood that is lined with Classical architecture. Whether you are a maritime lover or not you have to visit the historical Hellas Liberty Ship-Maritime Museum at the Port and you may also enjoy a visit to the Municipal Gallery that houses modern Greek artworks. Finally, Mikrolimano (meaning small port) is the right place for those who love fish food as you can find a lineup of quality fish restaurants and tavernas with tables right by the water. Perfect for some authentic Greek cuisine!
As the apartment is located in the heart of the main district, bakeries, pharmacies, stores, and transport access is very easy and just around the corner. With the newest addition of Dimotiko Theatro station in Piraeus, you can travel directly from the airport without any interchanges whatsoever. The apartment is 10 minutes away on foot. The closest bus stop to get into the center of Athens is 2 mins from the apartment, where you can take the bus 049. Alternative buses from other stops to get to and from the center of Athens include A1, X96, 217, 218, and 130. You also take the train (green line) from Monastiraki or Omonia station). The station is about 10-12mins from the apartment.
